I have a microsoft lifecam nx 3000. When i first joined i was able to take my profile picture with the camera and i still can. And when i go to test the camera works perfectly. However, the only thing it cant do is when i joined video calls it just shows my picture and say camera not detected. I dont think there is any other application using the camera, but i can never know for sure. Is there any other problem or way to check if other programs are using it?

oh and the automatically show video in video calls in settings is checked as well

What is your basic spec of your system?

OS?

CPU?

RAM (memory)?

I was finally able to fix it and to all who have this problem, you must uninstall your webcam driver and the program that came with your webcam for it to work because the program claims the webcam and there is no option to allow you to use it on other programs.
