Hi Scott,
I am happy to hear that you have enjoyed using ooVoo in the past and hope this problem you are experiencing can be resolved quickly but we may need some more information…
I'm not sure why your MAC would work great with ooVoo in the past and now it crashes. Obviously something must have changed during this time period.
If any additional software like MacCam or MagicCam was installed, please note that this software prevents ooVoo from using the webcam and causes it to crash. In this case you can remove the components. For example, to remove MacCam componetns, go to
your ‘Home’ disk, click ‘Library’, click Quicktime and remove the
MacCam components. For other similar software programs, they may need
to be uninstalled from within their folders.
If you think it’s something else, please send us a support request with logs.
To enable logs:
* From the ooVoo menu select ‘Preferences’ and then go to ‘Support’ tab.
* Check the 'Enable Logs' checkbox and click ‘Save’.
* Close the program completely (ooVoo > Quit ooVoo).
* Run ooVoo again, start a video call, and after the video call disconnects, send us the logs. To find the logs: Go to the support tab settings tab again and click ‘Open folder’ and send us the log files.
Note: Please add any information which might be helpful. For example, when disconnected from the video call, does ooVoo also sign out?
Thanks,
ooVoo Marv
