It sounds like another program is causing a conflict.
In order to pinpoint the problem and to provide you with a solution, please send us logs. Select 'Preferences' from the 'ooVoo' menu, select 'Support' and check the 'Enable debug logging' option. From the 'ooVoo' menu select 'Quit' and sign in again. Try to simulate the problem. If the problem occurs, all the relevant data should be written into the log file. Attach the log file with your support request (you can easily open the folder for the log file from the 'Support' tab).
