you cam 3 works with everything but oovoo, but my friend is able to use it, whats wrong?

May suggest you ask your friend what's so different that it's not working on your system?

when i open up oovoo, you cam 3 doesnt show up, but when i open skype, you cam 3 pops up

Have you checked within your oovoo settings and configure it to launch whatever source device driver you want it to use. Providing the software and driver is installed and setup properly.

I think that Fortra has hit the nail on the head. You need to find a driver on the you cam 3 site. Download and install it. Then open ooVoo and see if you can find it here on ooVoo: FILE/TEST WEBCAM/ click on the "select a camera" dropdown. If you see "you cam 3", select it and click Save. If you do not see it, ooVoo does not recognize it.

Hi, I have the same problem as Bungie currently I have youcam 3 but I can either open ooVoo or youcam 3 but they cannot work together... it says "your camera is being used by another program" How do i fix this so i can use the effects on oovoo?? What is the driver i need to download? i looked on the website but i couldn't find it =\

Because you CAN'T have the same webcam device accessing by two programs at the sametime. Unless you install a program that enable mulitiple video stream sharing access. By the way Cam3 isn't a sharing program by no means. It does rely and require a lot of CPU processing, couple that with what oovoo requires then your going to run into some problems.

You may want to try a program called Splitcam to see if you can get your You Cam3 to work.
