    Update a few privacy settings?

I use ooVoo at work, but I dont want people knowing that I use it.  I have 2 suggestions so far:

     1) Do not allow ooVoo to save your username.  Instead, offer an option to remember my ID if I only choose to.

     2) Do not create a "save" folder for files and messages based on a username.  I usually have to delete my username folder thats created in the "My ooVoo" folder, so I would like an option create a folder, but not labeled with my username.  Or even just to say for instance "My Documents" without having to create subfolders.

Um, I should be able to use it where I choose.  If other messengers offer these "simple" settings, then Im sure it shouldnt be a big thing to apply to ooVoo. Confused

Based on what you said in your post above !

oovoo is a client base app you install on your system. In order for the user to connect to oovoo network they have to create a username ID and password to connect. oovoo isn't just a simple messenger like many others out there, that have been used by many users for years. But they don't have the capabilities of oovoo. Of course the choice of using oovoo is totally upto you. Whether or not you want to have contacts, not knowing you have it, kinda defeats the object of communicating and making friends which is the sole point and ethos of oovoo.

My point in my post above, was if your afraid of files and folders being created on your system by oovoo then don't use it at work, or install it on a works computer.

I understand that client based apps, like the many I use already, need you to create a username and password in order to use their services.  That is not the point I am trying to make.  I am just requesting that ooVoo should give the option to disallow its software to create certain items on a users computer, like other chat apps would, such as username based folders and saving username login information.  I am soley looking to use ooVoo because I have a lot of friends that use it themselves and have difficulty changing to something else.

You are missing my point completely, but if you want to continue to give your point on what you feel I should look for in a messenger, then please go ahead.  Last time I checked, I thought requests could just be made openly. Confused

Ok, point taken. My apologies, and yes it is a open request thread discussion.
