Hard to say at what time scale would be, it's upto to them that created oovoo. Other more important issues have to be dealt with first.  

 

so here we are! windows and macintish more importent then Linux.

very unfair, ok we have to look for more linux friendly video phones even skype didn`t gave such an answer that they have other more importent things to do then linux.

good to know that you are not at all linux friendly, macintosh only very few people use, only the rich once, the majore people have not that money to buy a macintosh computer and their expensiv hardware an software, most people are today use linux and bsd and BOS.

so in my and all of the linux people opinions Linux is not importent to you,

Thanks guys. The Linux version might not be ready for quite some time, but we'll provide more details as soon as its close to test ready.

  OOVOO HAS GOT TO LET LINUX IN NOW AND THEN WE CAN  ALL MOVE FORWARD (DUMP WINDOWS AND SKYPE).

Any news about the linux version of ooVoo?

well, what I have heard is that they gave us false hope, that they are not considering an oovoo for linux, we have to find something else I guess, it is a pity how many software makers put us down to the lower rank, not much linux friendly, only windows and macintosh. who really uses macintosh? I guess only very few people, but linux users are lots more.

I am disapointed very much.  

I was waiting for ooVoo for linux. Maybe ooVoo could have been good software but if it will not be devellop for Linux I do not have any reason to tell about ooVoo around me. I just hope ooVoo will at least be devellop for Linux. But during this time I will going back to skype and tell other people doing the same!

 Hi benoit, the same I am doing too, I am till now with skype cause I have no other joyce, also when it is very buggy and many times it is just crashing, but what can we do. I guess I also stop telling others about oovoo, untill there will be really come out oovoo for linux.

Did you try Gizmo Project? I used it for awhile but the sound quality is horrible, I wish ekiga would work better and there would be an option for seeing others online.

 

Yes, count me among those interested in seeing ooVoo for Ubuntu (or Linux flavor). Ubuntu is rapidly growing, and there are plenty of Linux developers who'd like to see ooVoo happen, because basically - Skype sucks.
