    Look of Interface...

    Greetings.

I inquired about this almost a year ago, and to my dismay today's current release still does not contain the ability to adjust the look of the ooVoo User interface.

I have Multiple Sclerosis, and have issues seeing all parts of the ooVoo interface sometimes because of vision problems.  Last time I inquired about the ability to change the look of the ooVoo interface by having teh ability to choose an alternate skin, or at least a sifferent color that is not so hard on the eyes.

I know that I cannot be the only person with vision preferences regarding the look of the ooVoo interface.  I just don't understand why such a simple thing is either causing such a problem to get implemented or is just being pushed a side and ignored.

I have family members and friends that I've told about ooVoo, and spoke highly of it, and now those people that had previously used AIM, MSN, Yahoo IM and some others are now using ooVoo exclusively, so now I'm using it to connect to soem of those people too.

It just seems that something this simple could have been taken care of early on in the build/development of this Software.

Is there an ETA for this feature?  What kind of timeline are we looking at here?

I sincerely appreciate you help and response.

    Respectfully,

     - Ian

    hi Ian,

That's unfortunate you have some issue or a minor problem with oovoo interface. However you might be able to make things a litttle better by adjusting your monitor resolution, brightness, color, etc. Currently oovoo main focus is to improve, and make more improvements in its ability to communicate over the internet. To some degree least likely to be worried about oovoo skins at present. I wouldn't rule it out in the future though.

Well, that's one of the things, I've already done in the past, was to adjust the monitor, and because some medication that I take creates sensitivity to bright light I had to reduce the brightness of the monitor, which is another reason I was asking abou this.

Even if it wasn't skins, just the ability to toggle the gui from black to white, that was all I was hoping for, nothing fancy at all.

Even if that were possible changing it's GUI from black to white. Would cause problems too. If you haven't already notice "most" of oovoo main interface text i.e File, Contacts, Action, Help, and your "oovoo pal contact list are in white also when offline", with the interface background in a black and  with a bit of faded grey. So in doing so, it's not just a simple task as so it might seem, a lot of changes would have to be made. Which might be time consuming to say the least.
