Hello fellow oovoo'ers. I have an issue with a oovoo recently. I am currently running on a windows machine, and i am trying to connect with someone that is running oovoo on a mac. He has video just fine, He can hear me, and see me as well. His microphone is not working. I have asked him to try ichat and he says its working just fine. He has checked his system preferences  in oovoo and his microphone test passed. Is there anyone that can help me out on this issue. Thanks very much

Hi Karen,

Lets test your side first. Please open ooVoo and go to FILE/SETTINGS/AUDIO DEVICES/ under the "Speakers Section and click "Test" . Do you hear the test music? If not, please go through each of the options in the "Select the speakers for audio" dropdown menu until you are able to hear the audio through your speakers or headset when you test. Once you find the correct setting, please click "save". You should now be able to hear the other person if this was a speaker issue on your side.

Next, if the issue is not on your side, please have the other person test their MIC (on the same page, but on their MAC) to make sure that it is not a problem on THEIR end. Please make sure that he is using a USB mic with this MAC if using a headset. On a MAC the page is found here OOVOO/PREFERENCES/AUDIO DEVICES.  Please have the other person make sure that ichat is not open and "claiming" the mic.
