    ooVoo Vanishes

    I have used ooVoo for a long time and enjoyed it very much. No more.. I installed the new version and since then can't use it!

    Here what happens: The program loads without problems but as soon as I try to connect the new screen loads but vanishes instantly!

    Program was removed and re-installed, Norton Firewall was checked, new account was tried without results.

    Can anyone help me?

     I created an account name but I putted three create an account names at patsy65, patsy-stephen1 and patsy-stephen004. How can I remove it off? But I keep my create an account name is patsy-stephen. My email address are same in all accounts. Can you please help me to wipe it off for it.

    Hi Patsy,

    Not sure this message belongs in this thread, but here goes:

    Please do the following to change your account to inactive:IF this is a free account you do not have to cancel anything.If you would like, please sign into ooVoo and go to FILE/EDIT MY OOvOO CARD/ Once there please remove any personal information, your picture, and your email address. Please also change your display name to "inactive". Click "Save", and then just abandon the account. This will close it.

    Hi.

    I have the very same question as Vic (just downloaded and redownloaded the latest version, checked firewall and still not getting video calls to work after reredownloading as per your suggestion). Is there anything else that can be tried other that, as I have seen several users having the same issue?

    Hi Leo,

    Please uninstall ooVoo once again and then re-install a fresh copy in a folder other than the default one (during the installation process choose a different location than C:\Program files\).

    If that still doesn't work, please Exit ooVoo before trying to Sign in (Right click on the ooVoo icon located on your task bar and select Exit), and then cut the ooVoo.exe file from the new location you installed it and paste it to another folder (you can try the Desktop).

    Please let us know the results.

    similar problem here.  win xp.  install then try to log on with existing acct.  program stops and icon on toolbar disappears.  when I try to re-start the program using exe or shorcut, the icon appears for a few seconds then disappears again.
