How to uninstall ooVoo (Mac version)

I'm running OSx10.4.11 and need to uninstall ooVoo as I _think_ it is causing problems with another app.

Can anyone tell me the correct method to uninstall?

Can someone point out how to unimstall oovoo. I tried a call with my friend on Win XP and there was no audio. We both tested our audio equipment and it works outside of oovoo. Video is working great. But without audio, this is no use to me. I cant seem to find the uninstall option in the installer. Can you help me uninstall this software.

    Thanks

You uninstall it like you do almost all mac applications, drag it to the trash from the applications folder.

Dragging the application to the Trash doesn't get rid of all the other files that ooVoo installed. I found an ooVoo Folder in the Library, for instance.

that doesn't uninstall it, that just gets rid of it off your desktop or where over you put it :P

Mac 101, to unisntall most applications dragging the app to the trash does the trick. If a developer feels the app needs an uninstaller he would have provided it in the .dmg file. Yes some applications leave behind folders in the library or plists files, but those take up virtually no space nor do any harm to ur system. So I stand behind what I said. Drag the app to the trash. If u feel that is no good enough and any lingering folders would bother you then do a spotlight search in the library folders on ur mac. Mace are not like windows there are no files left behind that are going to cause problems, there is no registry or .dll files that were usually the culprit in windows.

For mac_girl and mac_user to use Spotlight, don't they need to know the name of the file? Are we certain that "ooVoo" is in all the file names? It's strange that the ooVoo Support Center doesn't seem to know the files that are created by its own program and where the files are located. (Or at least Kerre McCall doesn't know. Perhaps someone else at the Support Center knows, but I can't seem to get past Kerre.)

Before uninstalling, please open a support request to let us know why you are not satisfied with ooVoo. Hopefully your issues can be solved quickly.

To uninstall ooVoo, follow the instructions ‘Fini111’ wrote. You can easily remove the ooVoo.app file. Aside from this, some ‘ooVoo’ folders are created in order to store your video messages, recorded video calls and received files which were sent to you. You can select 'Preferences...' from the 'ooVoo' menu and then go to the ‘Video messages’, ‘Recorded calls’ and ‘Received files’ tabs to locate the folders. You can also use your file search tool on your MAC to search for ‘ooVoo’ folders (‘Fini111’ mentioned clicking on the Spotlight icon).

    Best regards,
    Marvin
