    Video Problems

    When starting a video call, I can see myself but not the other person. On the other hand, the other person can see both videos. To make things more confusing, we swapped computers to test things out and found that even on the other computer I can only see myself... This suggests that it is not my computer or my setup, but more like something to do with my account. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

     hii, i have been using oovoo for more than 6 months, its great .but to my surprise i am experincing the problem u specified since 2 days, thing is i bought a new laptop and installed latest version of oovoo, then this problem arises,

    the person i am calling is sometimes able to see both videos, his video is not available to me and more over no voice connections exists.. can anyone post a solution for this, i guess its not with the account, or is it like the lastest version is looking permanent users to get registered first???

    Hi fi4hugs ,

    The reason for the situation you describe may be your internet connection. Are you both connection on the same network? Is it a private network (Home)?

    Do you see the other person's picture or just a black window? Can you hear him?

    Please try joining a 2 users video call (so you will be the third participant). Do you experience the same problem?

    Hi puvvadi,

    There is no difference in the new version regarding registration and you can keep using your existing ooVoo ID.

    Were you ever able to have a good video call with your new laptop?

    If you are using the same interent connection but just a different computer then I'm guessing the problem is related to your firewall or antivirus with firewall configuration.

    Please open a support request on our support center: http://support.oovoo.com and add your firewall and anti virus names and versions.

    Yes ur right , i guess the problem is with the firewall and internet connection. becoz, some times i am able to have good video call. see the situation is like this, if i initiate a call from my system, connection fails, video is not available. and if the other person initiate the call and i accept it, then its working, 

    and in few cases, the audio, and speakers icons in the oovoo window blinks .. dont know why this is happening.

    two systems in the same network in a room, its giving noise problems, few times its working fine.

    i am using McAfee security center version 8.1 and Firewall to that version 9.1

    Please post a solution to my problem. i use oovoo frequently and it troubling me now
