Does anyone know if soldiers in Iraq can use it? Me and my boyfriend both have webcams but I don't know if he can use oovoo because you have to download it. It would be really amazing to be able to see him though. I mean, we use my webcam once in awhile but Yahoo and AIM are a bit unreliable with it. Even if he doesn't have his webcam it's nice for him to be able to see me. If you know anything about it let me know so I can relay it to him. Gina

Hey Gina, welcome to ooVoo and yes, your boyfriend will still be able to see you on camera when he's overseas. There's a couple of ways of doing it but here's my favorite:

Start a video conversation and send him a link to join you live in your private chatroom. We've cuningly named this tool "Call Non-ooVoo Friends." Bring up the ooVoo contact list. At the very top of the contact list next to 'File' and 'Contacts' is 'Actions.' Chose Actions and call non-ooVoo friends. This will launch a window with a really long web address - which you can send to your boyfriend overseas. He will be able to join you without downloading ooVoo. If he has a webcam you'll be able to see him as well. Its only a temporary invitation so when you hang up the call it will make the invitation invalid.
