recording video calls

I am on 30 days of free trial of premium features.
I tried to record a video call. When I clicked on a "record video call" icon during a call, I got a message
that I need to purchase a plan with this feature.
I should be able to use this feature during 30 days free trial. How do I do that?

Allow users to watch conversation without joining?

Is it possible for visitors to watch a conversation in progress without having to join the chatroom? For example, imagine a celebrity is being interviewed online. People might want to watch it live, but not participate through their webcam.

Hello there, I am trying out oovoo and so far I have to say it is really good. I do have a few questions about it and if someone knows please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way you could do a non-video confrence with people? I know sounds dumb but I couldn't find an audio only option to make a call, and if so is there a limit to the amount of people that can be in the conversation?
Is there a way (or if one is in the works) to have a call where someone can only view but not participate?
Is there a way to get more custom with a chat room (ie your own logo and color scheme)
In a 6 way call, does everyone have to have the plan or does the host have to?
Is there a way to have one webcam full screen. Say I want to show a video saved to my computer, can the client max the window so it takes up the entire screen and not be stuck within the chat window?
Does anyone know how the rendering work? Say if I do a training video via this software how would it render so that I could use the end result on a intranet site?

How to show a PowerPoint to people on your call

To Show a PPT in ooVoo:

1) Download a virtual camera software, there are many out there, but one we have used successfully here in the test lab at ooVoo is SplitCam (http://www.SplitCamera.com). It's free and stable.

2) Launch splitcam and set the video source to "Desktop".

3) Set Splitcamera to de-interlaced video for highest quality

4) Make sure to set your ooVoo settings on high quality (file, settings, camera, advanced settings, upload = best quality)

5) You now have a virtual web camera that looks like a real camera pointed at your desktop. Select SplitCamera from your camera selector drop down menu in the video call (bottom left corner of the video call window by camera icon)

6) Make sure you broadcast in High Resolution (Video Resolution in top left corner of call window should be set to high after call is started)

Hi everyone:

I am new here and I have a question:

I want to make new friends and so I go to search friends and I search for people a certain age from a certain country, well after many appear, I click on them and their card appear telling me that I can add them to my list, well actually that woulds end a message asking to be added to my list, the problem is why would anyone accept the request if we havent even chatted before? Cant I send a text message like on any IM program to start a conversation? Do I have to send add requests all the time? Members cards are so simple there is no way to say whether or not that person seems nice, I am not sure I understand how you start a friendship by asking to be added to someone contact list.

Is there a way tos end a message before asking for the add thing? Just seems rude to me to ask without any further conversation.

I am eager to make new friedns here but I am not interested in bothering anyone, I wish this was simpler, and would allow me tos end a message first saying, hey I want to make friends, can we chat sometime? I hope someone can help me here.

I've recently moved to the other side of the country and me and all my friends are trying to keep in touch with webcamming. ooVoo has great quality, and the free trial let 6 of us video chat at the same time, but now we only get the STANDARD options.

I'm thinking of buying the SUPER account so we can all use the 6 way video conversation, but I'm not sure if I can really afford it in the long run since I'm on a budget. If I can't afford to pay $10 the next month, can I cancel my plan and be exempt from paying the $10 for the next month? And once I have money again, can I re-upgrade my plan? How does the billing work?

hey all great system i was introduced by my partner Antony - we use it for video links for our partners with our small biz www.opendoors-newbusiness.co.uk - really user friendly funky and useful - anyone want to join our marketing sessions using oovoo just shout - also trying to work out a way to run presentations alongside the video feeds if anyone knows? anyway ill make my way thru the forum threads in case thats covered elsewhere - great to be in relatively early on what im sure will be the next skype ps hope thats not a negative by the way :)))) cheers

Hi everyone just downloaded oovoo

I am involved in a sports committee and we have a communication problem where not everyone can get to meetings as they all live in different parts of the country.

I searched for an online video conferencing tool, This seems decent there is only 6 ppl on the committee so i need to be able to see the 6 people on my screen at once and all of us be on the smae line so we can hear each other talk,

Does this sound like oovoo is what we need?

Is it a case that 1 of the 6 would have to pay $10 a month to keep the "super" package or do all 6 have to be paying $10 a month?

Hello, everyone!

My bride (of 49 years) and I seem to have settled, finally, in the Ozark Mountains of Southern Missouri - about 6 miles North of the Arkansas border - where we plan to spend our final years. We moved here last year, after more than 30 years on the Kansas prairie, and almost 20 more years in places like Dayton, Kansas City, New York, and San Francisco.

Now that the unpacking (from that last move) is almost finished, we're settling into the slower pace of life that is characteristic of the Ozarks, and I'm developing a blog (http://www.escapetotheozarks.com ) to keep my mind from falling asleep altogether.

I guess the next thing is to find a camera and headphones to make this thing work so, as soon as that is accomplished, I'll look forward to "seeing" you online.

If you want to add your Personal ooVoo link in forums this is the only one I have found that works at the moment. To use it just copy the code and insert your ooVoo ID in place of OOVOO ID (remember to remove Bold and Underline). You will then have a Personal ooVoo link like the one below but with your ID that you can then paste into your Signature in any Forums.
