Hi i'm a new user from Italy ; I think that oovoo is fantastic and I am urging all my friends to use it ...
The only flaw is that oovoo don't have a Linux version and precisely for Ubuntu that is now very widespread, how long we will have to wait to see it on linux?

As a business tool OOVOO could be a fantastic communicator if it was possible to have a 2,4, or 6 way chat viewable by many (100 maybe). The president of the company could introduce the heads of different departments and have them report to the sales staff from the field etc. We are experimenting with just converting the OOVOO window into a live Flash video as a work around, but a native way of having many watch a webpage without joining the video chat would be a killer for business use.

Disable sound option for video calls

This is the 2nd time I'm suggesting this. Please make an option in settings for video calls to totally disable speakers or microphone. Instead of having to open a video call and then mute them. It causes bugging issues with other programs. It also changes window's settings each time which is highly annoying.

Just wanted to say well done on doing a deal with Lenovo on having ooVoo pre-installed on their machines. It's about time PC makers realized there IS a high quality multi person video conferencing software available such as ooVoo. Maybe a quiet word to Steve Jobs over at Apple next. :)

Oovoo is an excellent tool, but it should really include flash overlays. The marketing potential of this tool is through the roof. Flash overlays, which are customizable text, banner, and image overlays for video, and other such built in marketing features would really make this tool stand out. This would be particularly useful with the video e-mail feature. Anyone in an e-mail list who see's these videos, would click on the overlay, and it would take that person to any webpage you want to send them to. This would make this tool highly viral. Also, I have searched through out the website, and I have found no affiliation program. This tool is just screaming affiliation. You really should offer affiliation with this product.

Hey guys, after chatting with quite a few people we have all decided it would be a good idea to have some for notification on a user if they are in another video call. Currently if inviting users into a chat it will just disconnect straight away. There is no way of knowing if a user is in a call. Anyone else like the idea?

Need help on video call quality

I am from Singapore, have been using oovoo for a few months. Made video calls with my friends in Singapore & the quality of the calls are great. But for video calls from Singapore to Netherlands, the call quality is super bad. Blur images & it lags often.

Does the speed of connection affects the quality of the call? Or any other reasons?

Update a few privacy settings?

I use ooVoo at work, but I dont want people knowing that I use it. I have 2 suggestions so far:

1) Do not allow ooVoo to save your username. Instead, offer an option to remember my ID if I only choose to.

2) Do not create a "save" folder for files and messages based on a username. I usually have to delete my username folder thats created in the "My ooVoo" folder, so I would like an option create a folder, but not labeled with my username. Or even just to say for instance "My Documents" without having to create subfolders.

Any news about the linux version?

Im regular using ur free chatting oovoo, just inquiry and a little bit question...

about the experiencing ur oovoo - this is the situation - while chatting with my wife

my ovo account will automatic logOUT without pressing "LogOUT" or exit oovoo and my signal is good range from 4 to 6 bars green light

just a little bit confuse why it happens like this...I experience this events several times already...

i live in Philippines using ur oovoo while chatting with my wife at Canada...

Any Help about this query...

Your new pricing scheme is a big mistake. By limiting free service to 2-way chats, you will become no better than Skype or IM, and I already get better video quality from Skype so that's where I'll be going. It was 3-way that brought me to ooVoo in the first place, but it's sure not worth $7.95/month--especially since Skype is starting to hint that they will be offering multi-party chats in the future.

This is going to drive away a lot of people.

Dear OoVoo Team,

I was using many messengers before but when a friend told me about Oovoo , especially the benefit like << 6 people video call>> ,

I was interested to try this messenger,

Finally I am very happy because I am able to talk with all my friends in only one Window and everytime we have awesome conversation.

Some messengers I was using are << Windows Live Messenger, Skype , Yahoo Messenger , Trillian etc.>> but none surprised me so much.

I would like OoVoo Messenger to have the following features:

*Games ..

*Emoticons

I suggested the software to many friends and they have the same opinion with me , that Oovoo is the best software at this part << 6 video call >> and many more because we can use this program to make landline calls etc.. like a telephone but as a whole chat software they need games to be added and emoticons the the "text chat Window"

If you can add all this features in a forward software update then Oovoo will be the most awesome.

Hello there, Although I plan to buy a plan when my trial is up - When will there be a new release for Mac that supports credits, as every now and again I like to invite more friends to a video chat. This may work out cheaper than going to a higher plan especially if it's just every now and again. Also if I pay the extra for no adverts, do the friends that I invite also see no adverts at that time we're connected? Thanks v.much.

AUTO RECORDING ON ooVoo

Hi,

I've just installed ooVoo yesterday and found it to be so user friendly! Excellent job ooVoo team! However any way to make ooVoo do AUTO recording instead of manual recording whereby need to press on the red button during chat.

I'm planning to recommend this to my company (family and friends too) and hopefully ooVoo is able to do design one especially for corporate users whereby there's no ad and users without administrator power are unable to delete any IDs or chats or recordings or missed/incoming/outgoing call section, you know,something like LIVE CHAT programs.

I'm certain that many companies are willing to pay for such services especially for those small companies and this will definitely generate more awareness and revenue for ooVoo. You may even charge every single thing from no ad to no ooVoo logo and many others that I'm sure your Marketing Department can think of.

Thanks for making this wonderful software and I'm sure it will soon overtake your competitors within 1-2 years!

Telephone minutes

Hello my friends. I'm writing you from an island (an atoll, actually) in the Indian Ocean. Look up the phrase 'middle of nowhere' in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of this place. It's just over a thousand miles to the nearest inhabited place. Pretty remote, I tell you. Have only been on ooVoo a couple of weeks. Have a question about how phone minutes are billed. I have the 3-way $7.95 a month plan and I opted for 500 phone minutes. So here's the scenario...I just used up those first 500 minutes. I'm just under three weeks into the monthly billing cycle. If I pay the nine bucks for another 500 minutes, do I have to use them all before the end of the month in order not to lose them? Also, where can I see where I am in the billing cycle? Thanks in advance for your input.

Integrating ooVoo with Skype?

I'm a Skype user and recently I discovered ooVoo. I see a set of very good features in ooVoo (although the cost seems to be a little bit more than Skype) but to be honest, it is very difficult for me to force my Skype users to use ooVoo. I think that it would be very usefult to have the possibility of creating a gateway between ooVoo and Skype in order to be able to have chat/conference (audio/video) between ooVoo users and Skype users. In such way, the people could decide to move to ooVoo (due to its high quality, features, ...) without disturbing their contacts to moving from one platform to another (usually the people is quite reluctant to be moving continuously from one platform to another)

Does it exist such possibility?

Am I the only one that is having this problem? I have searched the forum.

Everytime that I contact someone, when they answer ooVoo hangs up on them and I get a message, "End Conversation" for about one second. This happens at work and at home on my two laptops. On the work server, at home without the server. I have the fastest wirless system at home and at work that is available. ooVoo fails in every combination.

I have emailed a trouble request and have done everything listed. I also have the latest version of ooVoo. Technically, ooVoo is worthless to me until I get this fixed. Help!
