    Re: Snow Leopard

What will be the version number of software ooVoo Snow Leopard compatible? Is this version 2.2?

The version will offer ooVoo 2.2 features and support Snow Leopard. For now we can call it 2.2.x.x (a temporary number).

Hi, Mr. Marv. I have been waiting for this update for a while now, and as I read it said "after Labor Day". Labor Day is over, and if it is produced, can you please distribute? I have important conferences that need to be carried out this week.

    Thanks.

It is still labor day in the US.  Take a chill pill.  Call Apple to see if you can downgrade back to leopard for the time being so you can use oovoo.  Otherwise, use something else like skype and such.

I agree with ebaniaga. Apple took developers by surprise and unfortunately things weren't ready for a few Apps I use. But these things can't be rushed - so patience - if they rush it, I'm sure users will be nagging it doesn't work probably! :-)

The Labor Day was celebrated yesterday it seems, when are you going to distribute the beta?

    Re: Snow Leopard

Hey. I've read far too many posts from consumers who are blaming a company for their own choice. You made a choice to install Snow Leopard. That is not ooVoo's fault. In the future you should wait until the .1 release of any operating system if you want to have no hassles with any software or peripherals - and wait until key software is certified for your new operating system. I purposely upgraded one machine to Snow Leopard and held off on my other machine because I wanted to make sure that ooVoo worked on the new system. This is standard procedure for anyone used to upgrading operating systems (or any software for that matter). It is true that ooVoo could have done more to anticipate the situation. The gold master of Snow Leopard was available for a few weeks before the release date, so it should not have been a surprise. Nonetheless please be informed consumers. Some of you are making Mac users look bad. P.S. I don't work for ooVoo.

Hey - I'm another victim of success, pre-Snow Leopard.  Everything was perfect, then I installed S.L. last night. We're demo'ing ooVoo tomorrow at my school, so I'm glad that I have another computer that will not be affected.

Please tell us that the problem's been fixed!

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for your responses and I can report that we are making progress. We plan to make a version available on the Download page of our website early next week. Anyone who submitted a support request will receive an email notification when the version is ready and I'm sure that there will be an update on the forum Smile.

    Thank you for your patience,
    ooVoo Marv

p.s. By the way, I saw this article published last week about programs which were not able to immediately support Snow Leopard and ooVoo is mentioned. I thought this might be of interest.

    Re: Snow Leopard

Thank you for this release, but ooVoo bug more than the old version! I cite defects:

    - The contact list appears when you click on the video chat window
    - OoVoo freezes often
    - There is no jumping the line chats
    - There are bugs in the software displays (black square that appears at the top of the list of contacts)

    Hi "ooVoo Forums",

I sent this to our QA team and they were not able to reproduce any of these problems. If you encounter issues, please send us screen captures when it happens. It would be helpful to show the 'About ooVoo' window in the background (select 'About ooVoo' from the 'ooVoo' menu). To take a screen capture, press Cmd+Shift+3.

If anyone else has already tried our new version, please feel free to let us know about your experinece.

    Thanks for using ooVoo,
    ooVoo Marv

    "ooVoo forums",

Did you open a support request and send us screen captures? Maybe it's possible that the problems you are experiencing are specific to your computer environment. Please submit a support request and we will try to pinpoint the problems and resolve them.
