Hey, I just got a microsoft lifecam cinema today, and for some reason it is not working with oovoo. it is working with other programs, but for some reason is just simply showing up as a black screen for oovoo. I have looked at many other threads regarding other lifecam problems, and they have basically not helped whatsoever. Can anyone possibly assist me in this matter?

ooVoo works with this webcam. It's possible that you have another software program which is running and has "taken" the webcam. Please make sure you are uisng the latest version of ooVoo. Try restarting your computer and immediately test the webcam in ooVoo (File>Settings>Camera). If you continue to experience problems, please open a support request and send logs.

I think I found the problem, I just installed the webcam onto my computer with vista on it, and it works fine with oovoo. Unfortunately, it isn't working with the computer that has windows 2000 on it. I am guessing that it just isn't compatible with windows 2000, so is there anyway to make it compatible? Thanks a lot in advance.

Some advice, when looking at such a device like webcam's alway's take note of what platform OS that it's compitible with it usually be written somewhere in small print on the box, or on the online shopping site you plan to purchase the product from in details.

This webcam is not compatible with Windows 2000. Unfortunately if this Microsoft webcam doesn't have a driver for Windows 2000, ooVoo will not be able to support it using this operating system. I hear this is a great webcam but you need to use it with a newer operating system.

I agree Marv, I do have that very same webcam myself that I use with Vista & Win7 only. I also have other makes of webcams that also use with earlier OS that I can use also with oovoo.

Yes, but it looks like this webcam also doesn't work with Windows 2000 (if that's important to you).

Im not sure.....I dont have it yet. I ordered it yesterday.

I have a brand new dell laptop with Windows7.

What version of Windows Operating System is your computer >  Windows 98, Me , XP, Vista , Win7 ???

The webcam you have in mind should work without a problem with oovoo.
