There is another discussion about this here. It happens to me too.
(This isn't a headset vs. speakers issue, though a headset will improve call quality, (especially outgoing voice) and help eliminate echoes).
This is an audio controls issue. OoVoo makes the volume TOO LOUD and this is twice as bad with an earphone ...

The same thing is happening to me - ooVoo raises both the volume and the Wave gain controls () when I dial a call. The fix offered above didn't change the behavior.
