One of my ooVoo conference experiences...

I am visiting Scotland to be with my grandchildren for the summer holidays.

Back in Singapore, the extended family clan plans a gathering to mark the 210 birthday of our patriach Mr Tan Tock Seng.

We have more than 1200 members on our family tree database:

More than 120 attended the week long activities, beginning with a big dinner.

I had the forsight to plan attending by ooVoo!: Me on my MacBook (Mac)
At the dinner I got one of them to run ooVoo on his computer: (PC)

Me from glasgow, one family member from Australia and one from USA joined in:

Audio/video was good where there was fast internet connection:
the one that had a slower connection had patchy audio/vidio

The other two family members attended for 1 hour then had to go to work/ go to bed.

It was 1 pm for me in UK so I could stay for 4 hours and I did.

Several of the diners came to chat with me.

All in all it was AMAZING:

Looks like I have to do some work at getting some more Aussie's to join the ooVoo Forums. I know I'm not the only one using ooVoo down here. ;)

Since I started the thread I better do the right thing and put an introduction here....lol.

I'm Drew and live in Adelaide, South Australia. I'm married with kids. Interests - computers, internet, running my website (Ratpack's Lair) motor sport and VW's.

Have been using and recommending ooVoo to everyone since not long after the first Beta. Feel free to add me if you like.

Maybe more later. :)

Note: If you add me I am GMT + 9.5 hours so one of us has to stay up really late.....lol

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know we love ooVoo in Oz. I've been using it for a while (not long after it was released I think) and think it's great. I recommend ooVoo to everyone. I run a small community site (Ratpack's Lair) and nearly all members are now using it.

Keep up the great work!!!!
