The problem You are facing is spelling. In ooVoo api there is an spelling mistake!

To register an instance:

roomProps.instanceKey='xcvz0987';

Spot the capital 'K'.

To get more than one instance, you need to first register as a developer at developer.oovoo.com.

Next, you can create different instances of your room by adding an instance key to the embed code:

Here is a sample embed code:

By adding this:

roomProps.instancekey = 'xyzabc';

you create different rooms in your code. xyzabc can be anything you want. THe topic of the room, the username of the person on your web site, an email address, or just a random number.

Developers get 3 instances for free. If you want more instances, contact support@oovoo.com and they'll set you up.

The API does still have ads, but they can be turned off. We require a developer to pay to turn off the ads because like every company we do have to generate income. So, we can turn off the ads, but you'll need to talk to me about how to do that.

As for the drupal module, we would LOVE you to do that and I can provide some support. A drupal module is on my agenda at some point, so if you could do it sooner than me, that would be awesome. Maybe we could even support your efforts financially or with some free ooVoo instances (ads off).

Mute particular user from conference video call....

Hi,

Want a functionality such that during the video conference i can mute some selected user.

So can hear and see only those memebr from cnference to which i set unmute.

if its possible please let me know how to achive it.

Ads & API

Hi, just wondering if the API version still has ads. I set up a chat room using the basic Javascript and the ads are still there, but if it's possible to forego the ads, I'd like to invest the time to set it up as part of a PHP page on a Drupal site. (Actually an ooVoo module for Drupal would be nifty so I might turn it into that, if ooVoo didn't have any objections.)

"displayName" property used to set the display name and not to get it.

You can use REST URL (https://api.oovoo.com/rooms/<roomID>/videoCalls) that returnes XML with a list of room instances with all the users that are currently active (including the display name of each user).

I'm trying to use OoVoo on a web page. Whether I invoke it programmatically on the page build (C#) or embed an object and invoke the API via JavaScript, I get the following error when I try to place a call: "This opperation was not approved by user".

Do you have any recommendations?
