ive been trying to sign into oovoo the past like 24 hours. Ive reset my computer, uninstalled and re-installed. i put my password as "oovoo111reset" nothing is working. anybody know what to do??

Webcam will not work no matter what....

The webcam in which I have on my computer will work for everything except ooVoo. I can record on facebook, talk on msn, and talk on AIM. However it will never work for oovoo. When I go to test webcam I click PC cam and no matter what a preview will never show. It is not running in any other programs. Is there a port on firewall that I need to fix. I just want it to work.

Oovoo is the only thing i can use for Video Chats WHY???

Ever since i got oovoo its been the only thing that i have been allowed to use. Whenever i try to start a video conversation with someone on AOL instant Messenger or MSN where my image should be there is only that little Monster guy that appears that i see when i turn on my effects in oovoo, why is this? please help me

i have installed oovoo and the webcam max thing, but everytime i hit "show video effects window" it doesn't load up... why won't it work?

Problem creating new accounts on Vista

Hello, I am new to oovoo. Yesterday, I installed ooVoo on my XP laptop at work and everything went perfectly through the install AND new account creation. Tested the functionality and everything works great.

Fast forward to home last night on my Vista laptop. Downloaded and installed ooVoo with not problems. I could log in with my user ID from earlier in the day and everything seemed to work fine.

Problem: I then wanted to create accounts for my family. The screen to create a new account came up fine. I filled out the information and clicked "Create". The next screen with the options selection NEVER came up. The system seemed to be working on creating the account but it never finished and I never got the next screen (I let it sit for 30 minutes while it tried).

This morning, back on my work computer, I was able to create a new account with no problems at all.

Anyone else come across this issue or have a solution?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.

I have the very same question as Vic (just downloaded and redownloaded the latest version, checked firewall and still not getting video calls to work after reredownloading as per your suggestion). Is there anything else that can be tried other that, as I have seen several users having the same issue?

Your best bet with this kind of problem is to contact ooVoo support and they will help you sort it out.

If you would like to try to figure it out here, while they are sleeping in the U.S., please give more information, such as:

- Windows version

- ooVoo version

- webcam model, driver and software version

- have you successfully used the webcam with any other software?

Jamie thanks for the questions (and the blog post!). In answer to your questions:

- Initial/default resolution and frame rate (320x240? 15/30 FPS?)

Resolution: 352x288. If the camera can’t produce this resolution, ooVoo takes the next closet and resizes it to 352x288.
Frame rate - 15fps or up to the cameras full capability. In the next version of ooVoo users will be able to determine the fps (from 5 to 30 fps).

- Dynamic adjustment of frame rate and/or resolution - if so, based on what factors, and over what minimum/maximum range of each?

While ooVoo does dynamically adjust frame rates we are not divulging this information.

- Display of technical/debugging info during a call?

ooVoo currently provides an alert in the conversation window when technical challenges arise. In the next version we will a incorporate quality meter that will appear in the video conversation window.

I have searched the ooVoo help, features, tutorials and forums, and can't find this.
